There will be no Trump-Harris debate.

Democratic candidate for US president, Kamala Harris, withdrew from the debate scheduled for September 4. Dabate was to be broadcast by Fox News, as announced by former President Donald Trump on social media. Trump, who is the Republican candidate, noted on his Truth Social website that he was “not surprised” by this turn of events. He also added that he will instead attend a September 4 event with voters in Pennsylvania, which will be broadcast on Fox News.

On August 8, ABC announced that it would host the election debate between Trump and Harris, scheduled for September 10. The AP agency recalled that the former president had previously announced that he did not intend to participate in the debate organized by ABC.

Trump stated that he would like the debate to be sponsored and hosted by Fox News, but later began to change his position.

In early August, Trump said he would either meet Harris in the Sept. 4 debate or “not at all.” He also announced that he had agreed on this date with Fox News.

Harris’ campaign team pushed for the debate to be held on ABC on September 10, and the vice president criticized Trump for trying to back out of earlier arrangements for the event.

The Sept. 10 debate was scheduled to be the second meeting between Trump and President Joe Biden. Biden announced he would not seek re-election.
